We had a fun family vacation planned for the summer. We went up to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We were originally going to also go to Yellowstone but had to cut the trip short so that Dad could get back for football camp. We went up Friday, July 11th through Monday July, 14th. It was a quick trip but we packed a lot into the days. We pulled our travel trailer up and stayed at the Virginian RV Park. It was a nice place to stay. It had full hook ups along with separate showers and bathrooms. We were also able to use the hotels swimming pool. This might have been the kid’s favorite place to be, we spend many hours at the pool.
We ate dinner our first night at Bubba’s BBQ. It was awesome, probably some of the best bbq I’ve ever had.
Saturday night and also my birthday (July 12) we went to Bar J Wranglers. I can’t say enough about the time we had up there. The food was excellent but even better was the entertainment. The kids sat still for the entire hour and a half and haven’t quit talking about it. Even Nick who has a 2 minute attention span sat there for most of the show. We bought a DVD after the show and the kids watched it the entire trip home.
We went on a float trip down the Snake River. It was fun but knowing now what we know we want to do some white water. It was a chance for the kids to get out and enjoy nature. We saw many different species of animals. The highlight was seeing 13 different mature Bald Eagles.
We had a great time and were thankful that we were able to spend quality time together as a family. The travel there and back was long but for the most part the kids did well.
