Yesterday Elle tried out for and made the swim team here in Spanish Fork. She is excited and looking forward to something a little different. The only thing she is not looking forward to is the 6:00 am workouts. The older and advanced kids work out each morning from 6:00-7:30 am. She might have a hard time getting out of bed but I think the water will wake her up pretty quick.
Elle has also been invited to play on an accelerated soccer team here in Spanish Fork. Elle's city league coach along with a couple of others have decided to put a team together. Elle was asked to participate and the coaches made it very clear that they wanted Elle and would do what they needed to do, to have her on their team. Elle will play goalie, where she has done an excellent job all year. They will begin practices at the end of July and get more serious in August. There will be two soccer seasons, one in the Fall and the other in the Spring. From what we understand they really don't have a league they play in but will travel around the State playing in tournaments. Elle is excited and ready for this new challenge.
